Emirates News Agency – UAE President awards first-class Medal of Independence to ex-Ambassador of Brazil

ABU DHABI, 25th March, 2023 (WAM) — His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President, has conferred the Order of Independence, First Class, on former Brazilian Ambassador to the UAE, Fernando Igreja, in recognition of His efforts to strengthen the relationship between the two countries in various fields.

Saleh Ahmed Al Suwaidi, UAE Ambassador to the Federative Republic of Brazil, presented Igreja with the medal at a reception held in his honor. Igreja is currently Chief of Protocol at the Presidential Palace of Brazil.

Al Suwaidi praised Igreja’s contribution to the development of UAE-Brazil relations and bilateral cooperation during his years of service in the country.

For his part, Igreia reiterated his pride in receiving the medal, which reflects the depth of the bilateral relationship and cooperation. He also noted that Brazil continues to seek close cooperation with the UAE in the service of the peoples of both countries.

Igreja’s policy towards President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Expresses deep appreciation and commends His Highness for his policy.

He concluded by thanking the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and all UAE government entities for their cooperation, which has contributed to his successful mission to strengthen relations between the two countries.
