ABU DHABI, 23rd May, 2023 (WAM) — President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan today received Rashad Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council of Yemen.
The two sides discussed bilateral relations, developments in Yemen and some issues of common concern.
During the meeting at Qasr Al Bahr in Abu Dhabi, His Highness welcomed the Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council and congratulated his country on celebrating its National Day on May 22, wishing prosperity and progress for Yemen and its people.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed affirmed the UAE’s support for Yemen and its people in their pursuit of peace, stability and development.
Al Alimi expressed his gratitude to His Highness for the hospitality and expressed his gratitude for the support provided by the UAE to the people of Yemen, wishing the UAE and its people further progress and prosperity.
The meeting was attended by His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister in the Presidency; HH Sheikh Nahyan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Zayed Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation Chairman of the Board; His Excellency Lieutenant General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior; Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs His Excellency Yang and the accompanying Yemeni President led the delegation of the Chairman of the Council.
