Emirates News Agency – UAE President visits IDEX 2023

ABU DHABI, 21st February, 2023 (WAM) — His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President, today visited the 16th edition of the International Defense Exhibition (IDEX).
This year’s edition kicked off on Monday to coincide with IDEX’s 30th anniversary.
His Highness Sheikh Mohamed, accompanied by His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister in the Presidency, visited several exhibiting companies and Pavilions and stands of state entities.
The UAE President’s visit included pavilions and participation from the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Russia and China, in addition to France, Serbia, the United States and the Republic of Korea.
His Highness listened to representatives of participating countries and enterprises introduce their innovations in equipment manufacturing and production of advanced defense technology systems.
The UAE President said that the organization of IDEX over the past three decades has highlighted the UAE’s approach to building bridges of communication and cooperation with the world, with the aim of achieving peace, stability and a better future for humanity.
His Highness expressed his gratitude to the exhibition organizers and partners and expressed his appreciation for their contribution to the continued success and development of the exhibition.
During the visit, the UAE President met with a number of delegation leaders and guests at IDEX 2023.

He welcomed attendees, exhibitors, national and international companies, emphasizing the importance of collaboration among global partners to ensure stability.
During the event, His Highness met Aleksandar Vučić, President of Serbia; Sheikh Talal Khaled Al-Sabah, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior of Kuwait; Éric Trappier, CEO of Dassault Aviation and General Atomics (GA) Chairman and CEO Neal Blue.
The conference involves the participation of guest countries and the latest technological solutions on display, as well as the opportunities that IDEX provides for the participants to exchange expertise and experience, as well as partnership opportunities for the main international companies in the industry.
During the visit, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed was accompanied by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan; Sheikh Mohamed bin Hamad bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Special Advisor to the Presidential Court; and Chief Engineer of Staff Issa Saif Mohammed Al Mazrouei, Chief of Staff of the UAE Armed Forces.
