ABU DHABI, 6th July, 2022 (WAM) — Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Ruler’s representative in the Al Dhafra area and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi University Board of Trustees, has stressed that education is at the top of the agenda of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed’s vision is a key driver for educational institutions to advance the education system in line with international standards to meet the aspirations of the UAE leadership in ensuring the excellence of the nation’s education professionals in various academic fields, especially health sciences, he added Say, advanced technology, engineering, artificial intelligence and electronic security.
He made the statement while chairing a meeting of Abu Dhabi University’s new Board of Trustees, which was attended by Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence and Vice-Chairman of the Board, and other members of the Board.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed’s support for education and scientific research, especially in higher education institutions across the country, is sure to bring about a major transformation in this sector, which is the cornerstone of the UAE’s development in all economic, technological and industrial sectors, Sheikh Hamdan said, while highlighting the critical role of scientific research in finding creative solutions to future challenges in the coming period.
During the meeting, Sheikh Hamdan explained the work of Abu Dhabi University, especially the international accreditation of its academic programmes, noting that the university is one of the top three universities in the UAE in terms of programme accreditation.
