Emirates has announced the introduction of 25 mobile check-in pPorts at Dubai International Airport (DXB) Terminal 3, as part of its commitment to continuously innovate and improve the journey experience at every customer touchpoint.
These portable units will be deployed throughout the terminal’s check-in halls.
The agents at these ports were developed in the UAE and they will help customers check in, weigh, label, and provide boarding passes. Once tagged, the porters will place the luggage on belts specially prepared for each passenger’s aircraft.
A luggage weighing scale is attached to each gate, and Emirates agents are also on hand at each station to assist and answer any questions passengers may have.
Passengers checking in two or fewer bags in economy, business and first class will be encouraged to use the service, which will help reduce queue times and reduce wait times during peak hours.
Adel Al Redha, Chief Operating Officer of Emirates, said: “We will continue to introduce the use of advanced technology and robotics across our operations and customer touchpoints. We are committed to continuously improving our services to provide our customers with a seamless experience and improved Good trip.”
“Our latest registration portal is a step in this direction, and we are also working on other technology and AI-dependent initiatives that will be rolled out in different areas in the near future,” he added.-TradeArabia News Service
