The Emirates Group concluded its participation at the National Service Careers Expo at the National Exhibition Center in Abu Dhabi, receiving more than 600 applications over the three days of the event.
The group’s participation in the sixth national services industry job fair is part of its rigorous campaign to attract capable Emirati talent who will support its business acceleration and anticipated expansion.
Over 200 graduates visited the Emirates Group’s interactive booth on the first day alone to browse the opportunities on offer, including the National Cadet Pilot Scheme, Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Licensing Scheme (AMEL) and customer service roles.
Participants of the Cadet Pilot Program will have the unique opportunity to undergo four years of training at the Emirates Flight Training Academy’s state-of-the-art facility before qualifying to fly for Emirates, the largest international airline.
High school graduates enrolled at AMEL will receive theoretical and practical training at the Emirates Engineering Training Institute and upon completion of the course will be awarded an Advanced Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering accredited by Dubai’s Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA).
New customer service professionals will also receive 12 months of on-the-job and classroom training upon joining to help them ease into their roles in the accelerated global operations.
Currently, more than 3,000 Emiratis work in various roles within the Emirates Group, including pilots, engineers, IT professionals, data analysts and commercial managers. With more than 30% Emirati in leadership positions across the group, the group is also working to create more unique roles for Emirati nationals in emerging fields such as machine learning and artificial intelligence. – trade arab news agency
