Emirates will celebrate Eid al-Adha by serving traditional Eid al-Fitr dishes in all cabins from 9 to 12 July.
Eid meal will be served on more than 60 routes from Dubai; to Gulf and Middle East, Africa, UK and Europe, Far East and India.
Economy class passengers will be delighted with the choice of chicken Biryani or Lamb Gabuli for the main course, followed by the iconic Aseeda pudding or the classic date cake for dessert. First and Business Class passengers will enjoy Hamour Machbous, Chicken Biryani or Lamb Gabuli, followed by a delicious Baklava Cheesecake or a fragrant Cardamom Cake. The A380 onboard lounge will also offer a selection of Emirati-inspired pastries. All customers traveling on the first and second day of Hari Raya will receive a free dessert to take away.
Passengers travelling during Hari Raya can choose from up to 5,000 on-ice entertainment channels on ice, including more than 1,500 movies from around the world, as well as more than 100 channels for kids and families. The airline also exclusively launched MBC’s Shahid, the leading Arabic-language streaming platform onboard. Shahid has 420 audio channels and 170 channels of Arabic movies and TV shows with full subtitles to enjoy during Hari Raya.
Eid al-Adha, which translates to “Feast of the Sacrifice,” is the second and largest of the two main festivals celebrated in Islam. This is just one of many multicultural events celebrated on Emirates for international customers, including Diwali, Christmas, Easter and Orthodox festivals.
