The airline expects 1.1 million passengers to pass through Terminal 3 during Christmas…
Expecting another busy travel period during Christmas and New Year, Emirates has issued warnings to passengers passing through Dubai International Airport (DXB) Terminal 3 in the coming weeks.
Passengers are told to allow extra time during the journey, arrive at least three hours before departure and depart early to prevent any potential traffic delays. Customer travel that arrives less than 60 minutes before the scheduled flight departure is not accepted.
The airline expects a surge of nearly 250,000 passengers this weekend, but the peak period will continue until December 21. The school holiday starts on December 12th, so there is an increase in the busy period for travelers returning home during the Christmas season.
Customers are urged to use self-check-in and baggage check-in kiosks for a contactless airport experience. There are 32 new self-service baggage drop machines and 16 self-service kiosks, operated by Emirates staff to assist passengers.
In order to speed up the processing speed, it is best to check in online 48 hours before the flight departure. You can check in at the airport as early as 24 hours before departure.
After checking in, passengers are advised to ensure that they arrive at the boarding gate on time. The boarding gate opens 90 minutes before departure, boarding starts 45 minutes before flight departure, and the boarding gate closes 20 minutes before departure.
Travel safely!
