DALLAS: T-Ten Global Sports, organizers of the Abu Dhabi T10 tournament, has announced that the inaugural season of the Masters T10 League will be held in Dallas, Texas. The alliance was co-organized with the help of Ritesh Patel, who also owns a SAMP Army involved in the franchise. Based on an exciting 10+ player format, the league will feature cricket legends recently retired from the international format as well as young rising stars.
There will be six teams, but organizers are preparing for a cap of eight teams based on current interest levels. A date has not yet been finalized.
Patel, one of the main organizers of the US edition and league partners, said: “We are delighted to bring this fast, explosive form of cricket to the US. Followers, this is a great opportunity for American fans to witness this on American soil for the first time.” Patel’s SAMP Army competed in the Abu Dhabi T10 last year. They entered the play-offs with another American team, New York Strikers, led by captain Moeen Ali.
Cricketers such as Corey Anderson, Misbah-Ul-Haq, Shivnalyn Chandpaul and the leading domestic players of the US compete in the Masters T10 League.
“It’s an honor to be part of this format in the US, especially at this age. Everyone wants older players to play again, so the Masters T10 will be a success,” Misbah-ul Haq said.
Nawab Shaji ul Mulk, Head of TTGS, said: “After six major Abu Dhabi T10 tournaments and the upcoming Indian Masters, T Ten Global Sports is pleased to announce the inaugural US Masters T10 tournament in the US. “
“T10 was formed in 2017 to bring the format of fast games like football. 6 years later we are now in the US. Since it is a fast, dynamic and action-based sport, we thought the US would be the best place to host the game. An ideal destination for such events.”
In order to let cricket reach the American audience and cricket-loving expatriates, other American sports stars also joined by buying team ownership.
Basketball player and Brooklyn Nets point guard Spencer Dinwiddie will join the Morrisville United. The 30-year-old NBA superstar said: “I am very excited to be part of the Masters T10 league and to work alongside Shaji Ul Mulk and Ritesh Patel who are introducing this growing international cricket to the United States. .”
NFL New York Giants outside linebacker Kayvon Thibodeaux will be a T10 member of his team’s city team in the league, the New York Braves. “I’m excited to be a part of promoting the game of cricket in the United States.”
The US T10 logo, which debuted new brand assets, was also featured at Sunday’s event, with Indian actors Elnaaz Norouzi and Parvati Nair providing entertainment.
