The Abu Dhabi Department of Health (DoH) has set an Emiratisization target ‘Tawteen’ for all healthcare facilities operating in Abu Dhabi to create 5,000 new jobs for UAE nationals by the end of 2025.
The Ministry of Health has called on all healthcare institutions in the emirate to work towards these goals by retaining and increasing the emiratization rate of their healthcare and administrative staff.
The ministry said it is working closely with healthcare providers in the emirate to increase the rate of Emiratization of medical occupations, which include doctors, paramedics and extended healthcare occupations, while administrative staff include those working in information technology, human resources, accounting, finance Work employees and legal departments. This is in line with the department’s efforts to unlock opportunities for local talent and ensure their sustainability in line with the Tawteen Healthcare Workforce Agenda.
Dr Noura Khamis Al Ghaithi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health, said: “At the direction of our wise leadership, Abu Dhabi’s healthcare institutions implemented the Tawteen goals to strengthen national capacity and enable them to further contribute to the healthcare system in order to improve It results and builds a competitive knowledge-based economy in the emirate.
