England’s men’s Test team will hold a three-day warm-up match in Abu Dhabi, hold a winter training camp and play against their Lions opponents ahead of their Pakistan Winter Tour.
The Test teams will start their training camp on Friday 18 November at the Abu Dhabi Cricket and Sports Centre, while their match against the Lions will take place at the converted Tolerance Oval on Wednesday (23 November).
England will also make use of Abu Dhabi Cricket’s world-class training facilities, which include 28 nets and seven practice wickets.
The training camp will serve as an important preparation for the second half of England’s long-awaited trip to Pakistan, which includes three Test matches against the hosts in December.
“We are delighted that the England men’s Test team have chosen our world-class facility in Abu Dhabi to help them prepare for their historic first visit to Pakistan since 2005,” Abu Dhabi Cricket chief executive Matt Bou said Matt Boucher.
“It further underlines our ability to host the best teams in the sport and shows how highly they value us as one of the world’s leading cricket facilities.”
