GRAND RAPIDS, MICHIGAN — Fireworks will dominate the skies Across the state this weekend plus the Independence Day holidayGrand Rapids invites everyone to enjoy the festivities at Ah-Nab-Awen Park on Saturday, July 1st.
The official start time is 6 p.m., but it’s safe to assume the audience has already rolled out their blankets.
Soaring Eagle Casino Resort is the title sponsor of the exhibit, and several other West Michigan organizations are also participating in the showcase.
Promises food trucks, vendors and events in the evening for all to enjoy before the show.
Fireworks are expected to start after 10.30pm
If you’re not heading downtown to take in this spectacle, the city is asking everyone to think twice before making a personal showing. The weather is very dry – recent rain has been absorbed – so embers are likely to start house and lawn fires.
Make sure to wet the area ahead of time and have a hose ready to douse any cinders, hot debris, and fireworks.
