Dell’Arte International’s annual “Holiday Show” will tour rural communities in Humboldt, Trinity and Mendocino counties beginning Friday.
This year’s live tour features an original play titled “Light in the Night: A Solstice Story.” The Dell’Arte ensemble will take the audience on a journey to discover what can light up in the darkness of this work, inspired by Solstice stories and myths from around the world. This product is suitable for all ages.
“Join us for a once-in-a-lifetime celebration of storytelling and revel in the warmth of the winter solstice,” said Julie Douglas, director of Luminous.
The tour runs until December 18th, with stops at the Carlow Theater in Blue Lagoon this Friday through Sunday and December 16th through 18th. The film “Autumn Run” will be showing on December 14th at the Little Theater at 1001 H St. Arcata.

“Autumn Run” was recently nominated for the Montreal Independent Film Festival’s inaugural Filmmaker Award and has been accepted at multiple festivals throughout 2022, winning Best New Female Filmmaker at the Toronto Film Festival and Best Feature Film – New York International Film Festival Microbudget under $250,000.
Filmed in Humboldt County, “Fall Run” brings together all the local talent. The film depicts four siblings reunited after a tragedy 10 years ago.
