Celebrating 50 years as a performer, Janet Jackson will be in charge of entertaining local and regional venues over the next few weeks.
The Pop/R&B singer, a 2019 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee, will bring her Together Again tour to the PPL Center in Allentown.
Also in Lehigh Valley, The Temptations and The Four Tops will screen Motown Classics at Bethlehem’s Wind Creek Events Center.
Meanwhile, in Carbon County, rockers Warrant and FireHouse will play Penn’s Peak. The latter will also host country singer Travis Tritt and a Grateful Dead tribute band. At the Mauch Chunk Opera House, blues performer Ana Popovic will present her new album “Power”.

• Travis Tritt, May 18th at 8:00 pm. The country singer, a native of Marietta, Georgia, released his debut studio album in 1990. In 2021, Tritt released his first studio album with hit singles including “Anymore” and “Best of Intentions” nearly 14 years later, “Set in Stone.”
• Warrant and the FireHouse, May 19 at 8pm. Warrant is a glam metal band formed in Hollywood, California in 1984, with hits such as “Paradise” and “Cherry Pie.” Rock group FireHouse released their debut album in 1990, with hits such as “Don’t Treat Me Badly” and “Love of My Life.”
• Dark Star Orchestra, May 21 at 8pm. DSO formed in Chicago in 1997, playing the music of the Grateful Dead. Original Dead members Phil Lesh and Bob Weir worked with DSO.
• Daytime Show, May 23-25 at 1 p.m. Schedule: A Celebration of Three American Troubadours: James Taylor, Carly Simon and Carol King, May 23; Patsy Memories of: The Patsy Cline Show, May 24; and Still Surfing: A Tribute to the Beach Boys, May 25.

• 70s Flashback, May 12 at 8pm. 70s Flashback is an eight-piece band that pays homage to 1970s acts like Carole King and The Doobie Brothers, as well as Studio 54 and CBGB venues.
• EagleMania, May 13 at 8 pm. The seven-piece band performed some of the Eagles’ greatest hits, as well as a selection of solo works by Don Henley, Glenn Frey and Joe Walsh.
• Ana Popovic, May 17 at 7:30 pm. The Serbian-born blues singer-songwriter/guitarist released her debut solo album “Hush!” In 2001, her tenth episode, “Power,” was released earlier this month.
• Classic Stones Live: The Glimmer Twins, May 20 at 8pm. Keith Call and Bernie Bollendorf play Mick Jagger and Keith Richards of The Rolling Stones respectively.

• Steve Sandberg Trio, May 19th, 7pm. In addition to pianist/composer Sandberg, the trio also includes bassist Michael O’Brien and drummer Tiago Michelin. Sandberg, a three-time Emmy nominee, has performed alongside Celia Cruz and Tito Puente, among others.

• The Muppets Take Mahoning, May 20 at 6pm. The 35mm double feature includes 1979’s “The Muppet Movie” and 2011’s “The Muppets.” The event will also include a live Baretta Brothers podcast, theme vendors, collectible display and photo ops.
• Zombie-Fest IX Preview Screening, May 25th at 6pm. Exhumed Films and Theaters will preview Zombie-Fest IX with a screening of Sam Raimi’s 1992 horror-comedy “Dark Legion.” Zombie-Fest IX will continue May 26-28 with guests and three nights of movies.

• Janet Jackson, May 18 at 7:45 pm. The Together Again Tour celebrates the superstar’s 50th anniversary. Born in Gary, Indiana, Jackson’s music career skyrocketed with her third album, 1986’s “Control.” Albums like 1989’s “Rhythm Nation 1814” and 1993’s “Janet” continued her popularity. and “Velvet Rope” in 1997. The singer-songwriter/actress released her 11th studio album, “Unbreakable,” in 2015 with 10 number-one singles on Billboard’s Hot 100.

• The Temptations and The Four Tops, May 13 at 8pm. These Detroit-founded bands helped define Motown music in the 1960s. Starring original member Dr. Otis Williams, The Temptations produced hits such as “My Girl” and “Papa Was a Rollin’ Stone.” Four hits featuring original member Abdul “Duke” Fakir included “I Can’t Help Myself (Sugar Pie Honey Bunch)” and “Reach Out I’ll Be There.”
• Cheap Trick, May 21 at 8pm. Formed in Rockford, Illinois in 1973, the rock band includes Rick Nielsen and Robin Zander. Cheap Trick’s hits include “I Want You to Want Me” and “The Flame,” and released their 20th studio set, “In Another Word,” in 2021.
• Gaslight Anthem, May 25 at 8pm. Formed in New Brunswick, New Jersey in 2006, the rock band released their fifth and latest studio album, Get Hurt, in 2014. Gaslight Anthem features Brian Fallon and Alex Rosamilia.

• Blues Traveler, May 14 at 7pm. Formed in Princeton, New Jersey in 1987, the band’s current lineup includes original members John Popper and Chandler Kinchla. Blues Traveler, whose hit singles include “Run-Around” and “Hook,” released their 14th studio album, “Traveler’s Blues,” in 2021.
• The Amish Outlaws, May 19 at 8pm. The band formed in 2002 and four of the six members were born and raised in Lancaster. The members of the Amish Outlaws include Amos Def, Big Daddy Abel and Eazy Ezekiel.

• Tim Firth’s “Calendar Girls,” May 13-28. After Anne’s husband died of leukemia, she and best friend Chris organized a nude calendar to raise money for new benches in hospital waiting rooms. A true story inspired the show and the 2003 film “Calendar Girls”; in 1999, members of the Women’s Society raised a naked calendar for the Leukemia Research Fund.
