About the role:
The passionate entertainment manager has an exciting opportunity to work with the SE team to manage a diverse client mix at major events, corporate events and private events.
This is a hands-on role where you will act as a liaison between clients and performers. You’ll develop concept proposals, new entertainment strategies and identify relevant talent to complement client briefs and budgets.
You’ll work in a dynamic team that is driven, enthusiastic, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and has excellent attention to detail. Teamwork and a love of entertainment are a must!
Responsibilities include:
- Conceive, create, budget, plan, manage and execute a range of recreational activities across SE client portfolios
- Maintain and build strong relationships with customers, talent and suppliers
- Manage all aspects of end-to-end entertainment, including casting, scheduling, music direction, talent and supplier management, AV and production specifications, and OH&S requirements
- Respond professionally to customer and supplier inquiries within the agreed time frame
- Negotiate contracts with talent, suppliers and other industry professionals
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure all services are delivered as agreed and within budget
- Manage all operational aspects related to entertainment and ensure it runs smoothly
- Proposal writing, budget management, scheduling, run sheet management
- Stage management as needed
- Attend client meetings and manage associated WIPs, agendas, schedules, etc.
- Support the general manager’s business development strategy and implementation
- Direct and indirect reporting and as a team member
- Maintain SE’s brand value in all transactions
Required skills:
- Deep understanding of the entertainment industry
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- good negotiation skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects at any given time
- High attention to detail
- Can work well and deliver under pressure and effectively manage competing priorities
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers, suppliers, venues and talent
- Be prepared to travel and work outside of business hours as needed
- Possess a collaborative, collaborative, solution-oriented mindset and proactive attitude
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Desire to learn and professional growth
- 2+ years experience in events industry or similar industry
