ABC7 Los Angeles is looking for an Entertainment Producer – Content Developer to produce original content for the entertainment brand “On the Red Carpet”. Candidates should have extensive experience producing content for live linear projects as well as digital and social platforms in news, lifestyle and entertainment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for entertainment and pop culture, excellent leadership and communication skills that foster collaboration and innovation, and the ability to identify, create and communicate priorities and strategies. Entertainment Producers – Content development will maximize opportunities to drive growth and optimize performance metrics.
Responsibilities:
– Lead the “On the Red Carpet” brand in a company-wide collaborative project
– Create/produce daily segments featuring current events and entertainment news
– We need self-sufficient storytellers who can create memorable content for our digital, social media and broadcast platforms
– You must be able to take a story from concept to completion.
– You need to make various styles for various platforms.
– Most assignments are entertainment based, but not all. News, lifestyle and sales items can be assigned.
Basic Quality:
– At least 7 years of experience producing short and long-form content, including news and entertainment, as well as live linear production experience
– Requires a solid understanding of social media (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Snapchat and YouTube)
– Must be able to research, set up, edit and write content on a daily basis
– Adobe Premiere experience required
– Proven ability to multitask and thrive in high-pressure news environments
– Ability to work independently and in a team
– Powerful news gathering ability
– Proficiency in AP style
– Solid knowledge of basic HTML
– Must be willing to work flexible hours to accommodate special events, including nights, weekends and holidays
– Strong written, oral and presentation skills required

The hiring range for this position in Los Angeles is $109,700 to $126,800 per year. The actual base salary offered will take into account internal equity and may also vary based on factors such as the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills and experience. In addition to comprehensive medical, financial and/or other benefits, bonuses and/or long-term incentive units may be offered as part of the compensation package, depending on the level and position offered.
