Entertainment Squad gets a new LGBTQ-themed horror-comedy call sylvia Worldwide distribution under its The Horror Collective banner.
Writer and director Wesley Taylor (Smash, SpongeBob SquarePants the Musical) and Alex Wyse (Marvel’s Iron Fist, Master of Sex) – who co-created the Emmy-nominated digital series indoor boy – The film will be released simultaneously in select theaters and most major TVOD streaming platforms this spring.
call sylvia Tells the story of a gay bachelor party that takes an eerie turn when evil spirits are suddenly summoned. Fiery and whimsical Larry is kidnapped by his three best friends for a bachelorette weekend at a haunted house. As they made their way through the Victorian corridors, the comrades recounted the legend of the house from a hundred years ago: a murderous woman named Sylvia killed her son and buried him under the floorboards. Everything seems fine and weird, until Larry’s ultra-blunt brother-in-law disrupts the program.
Cast includes Travis Coles (supermarket), Michael Urie (younger), Frankie Grande (Henry Danger), Nicholas Logan (i care), Troy Iwata (Dash and Lily), Noah Ricketts (fellow traveler), Sean Grandillo (Scream: TV Series), Camden Garcia (emerge) and Vian Cox (You’ve got mail).

Tony and Grammy nominee Cody Lassen is producing, with Diamond Dog Entertainment and Slated serving as executive producers. The film was directed by Matthew Rovitto for photography, Sarah Corrigan for editing, Emily Gee for production design, Jevon Nelms for costume design, Max Müller for music, Steve Vin Taylor O’Connor was cast. Co-Executive Producer is Jim Head, Co-Producer is Jesse Stalnaker, and Co-Producers are Invisible Wall Productions, Andy Jones, MTTM Theatrics, Terry Nardozzi, Steven Tylor O’Connor, Michael Sanzone & Mark Robertson and Mark Stein.
