Washoe Culture Lectures in the Tahoe Palisades
Experience the mountain through the eyes of the Washoe people at the Washoe Culture Lecture on Friday, June 23 at 10 a.m. in Tahoe Palisades.
Free speeches will begin at 9:15 am with an aerial tram ride at High Camp, where guests will hear the story of the Washoe Tribe from its founding to the present day.
Additionally, guests can view artifacts that showcase the Washoe way of life that tribe members strive to preserve today.
While this event is free, registration is strongly encouraged. If you are not an Ikon Pass holder for 2022/23, you will need to purchase an aerial lift ticket to join, discounted for tour participants. All ticket sales collected at the event will be donated to the Washoe Cultural Fund.
Walk-ins are permitted, but only if there is room to join.

Truckee Reggae Festival
Head to the Truckee Regional Park Outdoor Amphitheater for a true Summer Solstice celebration at the Truckee Reggae Festival on Saturday, June 24th from 2-10pm.
Presented by Late-Nite Productions in association with One Vision Entertainment, the festival will feature reggae music, arts and crafts vending machines, food trucks and a beer garden hosted by local nonprofits.
This is an activity suitable for all ages. General admission is $55, and children under six are free. In addition, tickets for the VIP front pit experience are priced at US$99, and tickets for the on-stage experience are US$199.
This year’s lineup includes Julian Marley & the Uprising, Black Uhuru’s Mykal Rose, Mighty Mystic, Lozano, El Dub and more.
Vendors confirmed to be in attendance include, but are not limited to, Stoopid Shades and Tahoe Heartbeat, as well as Fire Goddess Pizza and Get Dipped Ice Cream Cart, which offer some food options.

Truckee Tahoe Air Show and Family Festival
The 2023 Truckee-Tahoe Air Show and Family Fest will be held at the Truckee-Tahoe Airport on Saturday, June 24th from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.
This year, once registered online, guests will receive free admission and free parking, as well as the opportunity to earn points and enter a sweepstakes for fantastic prizes.
This family-friendly event is known for its breathtaking scenery and world-class aerial displays by renowned aerobatic performers.
Events include, but are not limited to, the Grocery Store STEM Expo, Family Fest, a free ride for kids on Sunday, June 25th with EAA Young Eagle pilot volunteers, static displays, vendors, a VIP reception tent, and free speaker demonstrations.

Art Truckee and Alpenglow Galleries Grand Reopening
On Saturday, June 24th, from 3-6pm, the Alpenglow Gallery will be hosting a reopening party to celebrate their remodel and new artwork on display.

Beach & SUP Yoga & Tahoe Flow Art & Fitness at Mourelatos Lake Shore Resort
Join Tahoe Yoga Flow Arts & Fitness every Saturday and Wednesday at 9:30am and Sunday at 10am for beach and stand-up paddle yoga at Mourelatos Lakeshore Resort throughout September.
This event for all levels will take students to the beach to experience the beauty of Lake Tahoe while enjoying a wonderful yoga flow.

Hope Hike at Donner Memorial State Park
Learn about the impact of mental illness and suicide on the lives of community members in the North Lake Tahoe and Truckee areas at the 4th annual Hike for Hope held at Donner Memorial State Park.
The hike will begin at 9:30 am on Sunday, June 25th and will cover 3.2 miles through beautiful state parks. This walking tour is open to all.
This event, sponsored by the Speedy Foundation, requires registration and can be found at thespeedyfoundation.org/hikeforhope.
Live music at Alibi Ale Works
Alibi Ale Works Truckee Public House will host live performances and parties this weekend, starting with the Single Track Madness Beer Release Party on Saturday, June 24th at 5pm.
Released with the Truckee Dirt Union, “Singletrack Madness,” a collaborative beer brewed by Alibi Ale Works, to help raise awareness of Truckee Dirt Union’s efforts to create positive outcomes for mountain biking.
There will be great music and film screenings on bikes, as well as tastings of the latest beers.
The fun continues next week with Truckee Thursday Live Music on Thursday, June 29 at 8:30pm. Tim High & the Mighty will perform.
The singer can be seen performing solo acoustic songs or improvising with the band all over Northern California. This is a free show.

A Bingo Revival in the Palisades Tahoe
