Abu Dhabi-based airline Etihad Airways said it will start flying to Guangzhou next month.
The twice-weekly passenger service to Guangzhou will begin on October 10, initially using two-class Boeing 777s, subject to regulatory approval. Guangzhou will be added to the airline’s existing China service, which includes flights to Shanghai – which resumed in July 2020 and Beijing – which resumed in June 2022.

From October 10th, the Abu Dhabi-Guangzhou flight schedule is as follows:

Martin Drew, Senior Vice President, Global Sales and Cargo, Etihad Airways, said: “Guangzhou is not only a fast-growing, modern city, but also well-connected to the Greater Bay Area. Our twice-weekly service It will further meet the huge demand for passenger travel between the UAE and China, and provide new cargo capacity, creating strong people and business links between the two markets.”
With the addition of the new route, Etihad Airways will offer four weekly flights between Abu Dhabi and China: twice a week to Guangzhou and two to Beijing and Shanghai.
Customers can book tickets on the airline’s website or mobile app, through its call center or through a local or online travel agency.
The airline also announced plans to increase flights to New York this winter, and intends to add four weekly flights on the Abu Dhabi-New York route from 15 November, offering 11 non-stop weekly services to John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) services.
