Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates, is commemorating Emirates Civil Aviation Day through a video showcasing its young and talented UAE workforce to support the UAE’s efforts to raise awareness in the aviation industry. The video is composed of various occupations in the Etihad Aviation Group, including pilots, doctors and engineers.
Today, 89 years ago, the first plane carrying passengers arrived in the UAE and landed in Sharjah with 4 passengers on board. The groundbreaking journey began. Since then, the UAE has designated October 5th each year as Civil Aviation Day.

In the video, Sara Al Naqbi, senior co-pilot of Etihad Airways, joined the airline’s student pilot program in 2011.
