Etihad launches new UAE-designed Formula One uniforms

Etihad Airways is the national airline of the UAE and the title sponsor of the Formula One Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. It launched its 2021 Formula One uniform before the final race of the season. . This game is the decider of the World Championship Championship and will be held on Sunday, December 12.

Etihad Airways crew will wear new uniforms at the exclusive paddock club at Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi. In the spirit of representing Abu Dhabi to the world, the airline chose UAE designer Yara Bin Shakar to design this year’s design.

The uniform is a sports black jumpsuit with an asymmetrical wrap-around belt. Its shape and design represent the Formula One circuit of the Yas Marina Circuit, and the stitching on the belt represents traditional UAE embroidery. Black was chosen because it is a timeless color, and the details of the Etihad palette are reflected in the embroidery of the belt.

Yara Bin Shakar is an Emirati fashion designer, known for his reversible, practical and modest designs. Yara graduated from Sharjah University in 2013 with a degree in fashion and textiles. Since then, the designer and her business partner House of 45 opened a concept store to showcase her own designs and support other local brands in the UAE.
