Etihad Airways will increase the number of flights between Abu Dhabi and New York to two a day, the airline said on Thursday.
Beginning April 24, 2023, the airline will fly the route twice a day, 7 days a week, offering a total of 14 weekly nonstop flights to John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK).
The flights will be operated by Airbus A350 and Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner. The increased frequency will allow customers flying to the US to access flights outside New York to and from 47 destinations in the Americas via Etihad’s codeshare partner, JetBlue Airways.
Martin Drew, Etihad Airways’ Senior Vice President, Global Sales and Cargo, said: “The addition of our services to New York gives our guests more choice in key business and leisure destinations across our expanding global network. “
“Our US-bound guests have access to our US Pre-clearance facility, the only US Customs and Border Protection facility in the Middle East. This allows US-bound passengers to have all immigration, customs and agricultural inspections processed in Abu Dhabi before boarding their flight. “
Etihad Airways guests can also offset their flights through the airline’s Green loyalty programme. Conscious Choices offers travelers Tier Miles and additional benefits to reward them with less baggage on board and use Etihad Guest Miles to offset the carbon footprint of their flights.
With 14 weekly flights to New York JFK and daily services to Chicago and Washington, Etihad Airways will offer a total of 28 weekly flights between Abu Dhabi and the US this summer.
