Emirates airline Etihad is preparing to welcome more than 4 million passengers at Abu Dhabi International Airport between the summer and 30 September.
A significant number of passengers will connect locally in Abu Dhabi, with the remainder connecting through Etihad’s extensive network of 66 destinations, including new summer routes to Lisbon, Malaga and Mykonos at weekends.
Etihad’s upgraded online check-in allows guests to complete passport and visa checks before arriving at the airport. Automated document checking ensures guests meet all relevant travel and visa requirements for a hassle-free airport experience.
In addition, the airline’s self-service bag drop facility provides a faster and more efficient boarding process, accommodating more passengers and minimizing queue times.
After online check-in, travelers can seamlessly retrieve bookings, print luggage tags and process bags on time through the self-service facility.
“We also welcome pilgrims, whether they are departing from the UAE or transiting through other destinations within our extensive network,” said Shaeb Al Najjar, Etihad Aviation’s general manager of hub operations.
He added: “Guests can expect the very best in their travel experience thanks to Etihad’s award-winning cabin crew, family-friendly service and cabin proposition. By embracing cutting-edge technology, we can offer our guests a more seamless and A personalized experience.” .
