In the finale of its UAE 50day For the anniversary celebration, Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates, launched the third and final video of the “Hosting the World” event to celebrate the booming fashion industry in the UAE. The series brings together Formula One, music and fashion experts from all over the world, as well as their UAE counterparts in the UAE.
In this unique collaboration, Etihad Airways commissioned the popular Emirati designer Hessa Al Falasi as the host of the project. Al Falasi specializes in plain clothes inspired by her travel and life experiences, and is the most followed UAE designer on Instagram today.
Etihad Airways and Al Falasi invited Manish Malhotra, a well-known Indian fashion designer and luxury couturier, to visit the designer’s studio in the UAE and collaborated to develop a unique fashion. The video shows the full creative mode of the duo, including design, tailoring, stitching and fitting. Based on the fusion of traditional UAE robes and Indian-style sari, their creative thinking has jointly created a new style of clothing. In the video, you can see that the Etihad flight attendant is adapting to the new project and changing from her Etihad uniform to Abaya Saree.
