Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates, has unveiled the new interiors of its Boeing 787 Dreamliner, which will join its fleet in the third quarter of this year, at the ongoing Arabian Travel Market (ATM) in Dubai.
The new aircraft will join Etihad Airways’ fleet of 39 Dreamliners already in operation.
“Etihad’s new 787 Dreamliner cabin interiors showcase a further evolution of our award-winning and industry-renowned cabin. Evolution takes the guest experience to new heights,” said Antonoaldo Neves, Chief Executive Officer of Etihad Airways.
Business Class features Etihad’s unique and stylish interior with bespoke Elements seats manufactured by Collins. Etihad Airways was the first airline in the world to introduce Elements seats on the Boeing 787.
The new seating will provide guests with a comfortable and spacious environment with more privacy through the suite doors. The height of the suite has been increased further than the A350’s debut model, providing guests with greater privacy.
Each of the 32 Business Class seats has direct aisle access and the cabin has been designed in a 1-2-1 layout to provide comfort, convenience and privacy whether traveling alone or with a companion. Seats recline into 78-inch-long fully lie-flat beds with a 17.3-inch 4K TV screen, Bluetooth headset pairing, multiple charging ports and wireless charging, and ample storage space.
In economy class, the latest 787s will seat 271 and weigh less than the current fleet, so they will be more fuel-efficient. The seats have been cleverly designed and adjusted, including slimmer armrests, to create exceptional comfort and a greater sense of space. Guests can also enjoy a variety of entertainment on the 13.3-inch 4K touchscreen monitor, which also includes a convenient USB charging port.
Whether guests choose to rest, work or enjoy award-winning inflight entertainment, both cabins offer a stylish setting and the highest standards of comfort.
