Music is in the air this summer on Thursdays, with a series of evening concerts in various venues.
Here are some entertainment projects in 2023:
eureka
Eureka Avenue will host the 25th annual Eureka Summer Concert Series, bringing 10 weeks of free music to the Eureka waterfront.
The concert series kicked off on June 15th with classic rock performances by Beatz Werkin and will continue every Thursday through August 17th at Madaket Plaza at the foot of C Street from 6-8pm.
Other performers include: Thursday: David Perez Band (Latin); June 29: Alameda All-Stars (Tribute to the Allman Brothers); July 6: Fargo Brothers (R&B); July 13: Breaker One 9 (country); July 20: Andre’s Allstar Band (r&b, soul); July 27: LC Diamonds (classic hits); August 3: Petty Rocks (a tribute to Tom Petty); August 10: Dirty Cello (USA); August 17: The Undercovers (cover band).
Patino’s Mexican Food Truck and Cap’s Food Shack make weekly appearances at the Eureka Summer Concert Series.
Fieldbrook
Fieldbrook Distillery is hosting a free seven-week series of Thursday Night Concerts this Thursday from 5:30pm to 8pm featuring Canary and the Vamp (1920s and ’30s vaudeville-style music, Brazilian jazz, country rock).
Food, wine, beer and non-alcoholic beverages are served at each concert.
Other bands in the series include: FireSign, June 29; Cadillac Ranch, July 6; SoHum Girls, July 13; Mercury Mountain, July 20; Citizen Funk, July 27 ; and died on, Aug. 3.
Fieldbrook Winery is located at 4241 Fieldbrook Road.
McKinleyville
Music in the Parks will begin this Thursday from 6-8pm at Pearson Park, 1608 Pickett Road. The first set in the 10-week free series features Claire Bent and Citizen Funk.
Other performers include Ghost Train, June 29; Undercover, July 6; Absinthe Quartet, July 13; Trio, July 20; Buddy Reed and Th’ Rip It Ups, July 27; Trustee Barnett, August 3; Under the Influence, August 10; Amber Soul, August 17; and Blue Rhythm Revue, August 24.
There are also weekly food trucks, bake sales, lawn games and an ice rink.
