From the 90-meter-high infinity pool to six celebrity chef restaurants…
Not satisfied that there is only one Atlantis on the Palm Jumeirah, the parent company Kerzner International is opening another Atlantis Royal Resort and Residences under the new moon. Expected to open in the first quarter of 2021, the property valued at US$1.4 billion (AED 5.15 billion) will consist of 231 luxury apartments, 693 hotel rooms and 146 suites.
The building is unique in design, inspired by historical buildings, and is “a contemporary interpretation of a masterpiece of classic architectural design.” The 43-storey (185-meter) hotel will feature 90 swimming pools, including a stunning rooftop infinity pool located 96 meters above the 22-story Palm Island.
There are also plans to build a health facility that focuses not only on fitness, but also on health and mental health, including Turkish baths, hypnotherapy, salt caverns and snow saunas.
The lobby has three aquariums and the world’s largest jellyfish tank in the lobby bar, which can hold approximately 4,000 jellyfish. There will also be a fire and water fountain and a roster of top DJs.
Of the 17 restaurants and bars in the resort, 8 will be served by award-winning celebrity chefs.Five of them have been announced, including Gaston Acurio, Costas Spiliadis, Ariana Bondi, Heston Blumenthal with Jose Andres. Combined with the Atlantis The Palm, Atlantis Dubai will have 12 celebrity chef restaurants on the Palm Jumeirah.
La Mar by Gastón Acurio is a Peruvian restaurant that is very popular in Miami and will open in the Royal Atlantis Hotel in 2022. Surprisingly, Heston Blumenthal’s dinner will be the famous chef’s first restaurant in Dubai, and Jaleo from José Andrés will share his creativity and Dubai’s traditional Spanish cuisine.
Costas Spiliadis’ Estiatorio Milos restaurant will serve Mediterranean-Greek fusion cuisine, while Ariana’s Persian Kitchen promises traditional Persian cuisine in a modern style, offering “revolutionary and inviting menus, inspiring decorations and higher levels of hospitality”.
In the residential sector, it will provide two-bedroom, three-bedroom, four-bedroom and five-bedroom forms, as well as a series of “sky villas”, with private infinity pools and terraced gardens in high-rise buildings. Prices for apartments start at AED 7.65 million, and penthouses can go up to AED 37.5 million.
Although the construction of the property is nearing completion, the renovation and occupancy are still in progress. However, we all know that time in Dubai flies quickly, so we are sure that we will unknowingly bask in the amazing sky pool.
