Free admission.
“The annual Arts Market offers one of the best free community events, showcasing local talent, including artists, artisans, music and dance, and a great family environment for activities for the whole family,” said Debra R. Johnson, president of the Arts Alliance Bin Art Museum said at a press conference.
“As a local artist in Riverside, I’m always excited to support, participate and represent the Riverside Art Market. This is a fantastic way to help support the Riverside Museum of Art Alliance,” painter Yolanda Terrell said in a news release.
“I love the way they support local artists. We have a diverse range of talented artists, and this gives them the platform they need and really deserve,” Terrell said.
The Art Alliance of the Riverside Museum of Art is a nonprofit organization founded in 1965 to support the museum’s mission and to develop events and programs focused on community, arts and entertainment. The Arts Alliance also manages the Blue Door Museum Store, provides scholarships and funding for Riverside Art Museum’s art programs, and contributes to the museum’s budget.
By purchasing the museum’s current location, the historic Julia Morgan Building, the Art Alliance led the fundraising effort to launch the Riverside Museum of Art.
Other Art Alliance events include Art Fun in the Sun, Off the Wall (a twice-yearly ongoing event), Giant Orange ArtVenture, Art Float Riverside, and Art Bark in the Park.
The Arts Alliance’s monthly meetings are open to the public and feature presentations by artists and museum programs.
