Expo 2020 Dubai: A special run will take you through 192 pavilions-News

Runners can register until November 11; if the slots are sold out, registration will end sooner.

Registration is now open, allowing enthusiasts to follow a scenic route through the Expo 2020 site-past 192 pavilions.

Expo 2020 Dubai is open to residents and tourists of all ages and nationalities, including stroller participants. Runners can choose three distances: 3 kilometers, 5 kilometers and 10 kilometers.

The Dubai Sports Commission (DSC) stated that runners can register through the PremierOnline website until November 11. If the quota is sold out, the registration will end early.

Age group

Participants in the three categories will be divided into different age groups. The 3km run is divided into four age groups: 0-8 years old; 9-12; 13-18; and over 19 years old. There are 8 options for 5km running: under 13 years old; 13-15; 16-18; 19-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; and more than 60.

There are six age groups for a 10km run: U-19; 19-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; and more than 60.

Expo School Program: Free field trips, planned activities for students

To prepare for the run, participants can participate in four free “World Expo 2020 Dubai World Family Runs”-a 1.3-kilometer family run across Ghaf Avenue. The event is held every Saturday from October 9th to 30th, and interested parties can register through the PremierOnline website.

DSC also organized a series of free morning and evening training courses throughout October, provided by experienced mid- and long-distance coaches. The Expo Running Club will also be held in Expo Park from October 3rd to 6th, open to participants of all ages and abilities; 10-13; 17-20 and 24-27.
