Expo 2020 Dubai: Free buses for visitors from 18 locations in the UAE-News

Expo Riders buses at 18 locations in the UAE will provide free bus services for visitors to Expo 2020.

The Dubai Roads and Traffic Authority (RTA) stated that the bus service will be provided at three locations in Abu Dhabi, two locations in Sharjah, and locations in Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah and Al Ain. one. RTA has deployed 77 buses to transport tourists from these nine locations.

However, RTA stated that it has deployed 203 Expo Riders buses to transport tourists from nine stations in Dubai to the exhibition. Two of the bus lines will directly pick up tourists from hotels near the Expo site.

The three stations in Abu Dhabi are Abu Dhabi International Airport, Abu Dhabi Bus Terminal, Marina Mall Station and Al Ain Bus Station.

Sharjah has two stations: Al Jubail Bus Station and Muwaileh Bus Station, in addition to Ras Al Khaimah Bus Station, Ajman Bus Station and Fujairah Bus Station (near City Centre Fujairah). RTA stated in a press release: “There will be 287 trips per day on weekdays, and 358 trips on weekends (Thursday and Friday).”

The RTA has previously designated 126 Expo Riders buses to transport tourists directly to the Expo site from 9 stations for free. These stations are-Palm Jumeirah, Al Baraha, Al Ghubaiba, Etisalat, Global Village, International City, Dubai Silicon Oasis, Dubai Mall and Dubai International Airport (Terminal 3), with 455 to 476 daily flights.

These rides will also provide commuter services between the parking lot and the three Expo gates: opportunity, mobility and sustainability, as well as the Expo personnel rapid transit to transport tourists between the Expo gates.

Expo Riders bus service hours

Expo Riders will start operations at 6.30 am and will continue to serve for 90 minutes after Expo Gates is closed. Passenger commuting services from the parking lot (Expo parking lot shuttle) to the three Expo gates will start at 9 am and will last 90 minutes after the Expo gate is closed.

The Expo People Mover bus service between the Expo gates will start at 6.30 in the morning and will continue 90 minutes after the Expo gate closes. Taxis and e-hailing services will operate around the clock.
