Expo 2020 Dubai: Stunning sand paintings pay tribute to Sheikh Mohammed on Pakistani beach-News

Three sand painting artists want to pay tribute to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, and create a huge Dubai Rule for the 2020 Dubai World Expo The portraits of the visitors and the Expo logo are on the beach in their hometown of Pakistan.

say Khalij Times, Zubair Mukhtar said: “The portrait of Sheikh Mohammed is very special to me. This is out of respect and admiration for the ruler of Dubai.”

Zubair and his artist friends also wanted to create something unique for their compatriots working in the UAE.

“The UAE has paid a lot for Pakistan and the people working there, so we hope Dubai will have good luck in hosting the 2020 Dubai Expo,” said Zubair, who has created many works by famous people.

Zubair, who is famous for sand paintings in Pakistan, said that sand paintings require special tools, high precision and precise knowledge to make.

“These special tools are made of wood, iron and some other materials… We spent nearly 50,000 Pakistani rupees (1,084 dirhams) to make the tools involved in the production of sand paintings.”

The huge logo for Expo 2020 Dubai was produced earlier this month and measures 55×65 feet, while the portrait of Sheikh Mohammed measures 62×75 feet and was completed on September 20.

When explaining the process of creating sand paintings, Zubair said that the portrait was first drawn on paper and then outlined by the sea.

“The highlighted and darkened areas are done using darker soil shadows,” he said.

The artist said that creating a large number of portraits is not easy. “It took us about two and a half hours to make the Expo 2020 logo, but it took us more than four hours to complete the portrait of Sheikh Mohammed. We hope it is perfect.”

Sand painting requires a lot of space. After a few hours of work, the artwork was washed away by the waves in only a few hours.

“After finishing the work, we went to a hill near the beach and clicked on the picture we created. We clicked on the picture with our mobile phone because none of us had a drone for aerial photography.”

The artist said that he had never been to Dubai, and it was his dream to go to this place once. “I hope and pray to Allah that Expo 2020 Dubai will be a great success, and I will try to visit the event under the will of Allah,” Zubair concluded.
