As artists gather for a groundbreaking performance, a grand spectacle — with stunning visual effects, superb music and performance — is waiting for the world.
The outstanding lineup of performers also includes Grammy-nominated singer and songwriter Andra Day; star pianist Lang Lang; and four-time Grammy Award winner Angelique Chicho.
It also features “Arab artist” Mohamed Abdo, who is the beloved UAE singer “Fananat Al Arab” Ahlam Alshamsi; UAE artist and ambassador for the 2020 Dubai Expo, Hussain Al Jassmi, a trendsetter in the Middle East and international Khaleeji music scene ; Rising UAE singer-songwriter Almas; and Grammy-nominated Lebanese-American singer Mayssa Karaa.
The opening ceremony will lead the audience through the sub-themes of the Expo’s opportunities, mobility and sustainability, and showcase the UAE’s deep-rooted values ​​and the Expo’s vision and purpose.

The preparatory work brought together creative talents from different regions, industries and backgrounds, including a talented internal team of UAE and international creatives.
Event organizers have been co-planning and co-creating collaborative wonders. The broader team is led by Scott Givens, executive producer and CEO of FiveCurrents, whose work includes 62 iconic ceremonies, including the most Olympic ceremonies in history. It also includes the famous art director Franco Dragone, who is behind groundbreaking works such as La Perle and Cirque du Soleil; Jared Sweet is an award-winning creative director who is responsible for spanning six countries Ceremony.
