After a stunning end to 2021, Red Bull Have been enjoying a dominant 2022 Mercedes Safely exited the championship, Ferrari struggled with poor strategy and reliability issues.Now, team principal Christian Horner talks about his experience during the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix NOS.
“There have been countless bright spots over the years, but I can’t think of a more special moment than Abu Dhabi,” Horner told the outlet.
“After a year of fighting, every fight was like a boxing match between two heavyweights, and it was the turn of the last. No one could have written that script.”

He outlines how crazy he finds the situation:
“We are a team run by energy drink makers who compete in racing against big engine makers like Mercedes and Ferrari.
“As Red Bull, we’ve shown that if you want something badly and you put it into action, you can win. Even from the dominant Mercedes.”
Red Bull struggled with power unit issues at the start of the 2022 season, with Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc charging in. Now, with Ferrari’s miscommunication, Leclerc is in trouble and Verstappen can barely catch up.
