The Long Island Music and Entertainment Hall of Fame is making room for the Fat Boys at LIMEHOF on June 11 50th Anniversary of Hip Hop Concert and panel discussion at Stony Brook Village Museum.
Brooklyn-based rap trio comprised of Damon “Kool Rock Ski” Wimbley, the late Mark “Prince Markie Dee” Morales and the late Darren “Buff Love”/”The Human Beat Box” Robinson . The group was one of the first rap groups to release a full-length album (self-titled, 1984), and four of their seven recordings have gone gold. The Fat Boys are known for their covers of classics “Sex Machine”, “Wipeout”, “The Twist” and “Louie Louie”.

Hip-hop concerts include Kool Rock-Ski, Son of Bazerk, DJ Jazzy Jay and Public Enemy’s DJ Johnny Juice. There will also be a panel discussion with members of JVC Force, New School leaders, Juice and Ralph McDaniels of Video Music Box, moderated by Tom Needham, Vice President of LIMEHOF and host of The Sound of Movies radio show.
Additionally, sculptor Sherwin Banfield will dedicate a statue to LL Cool J.
