First Abu Dhabi Bank (fab) and IBM Consulting announced they are advancing their collaboration to help move more applications to the cloud as part of the bank’s evolutionary journey to modernize its digital infrastructure.
FAB is working with IBM Consulting to discover and evaluate applications to determine the best way to migrate them to a cloud environment. This will enable the bank to optimize its technology infrastructure in a hybrid multi-cloud strategy to improve cost efficiency, increase productivity and create opportunities for innovation.
To execute the project, IBM will use its Delivery Curator framework, an industry-based, pattern-driven accelerator designed to assist in the end-to-end cloud migration process from discovery to implementation.
“We are proud to be well on our way on our digital transformation journey, poised for further agility and growth. FAB is further strengthening its partnership with IBM Consulting to facilitate our cloud migration plan, allowing us to Continue to deliver a seamless digital experience to all customer segments, develop new digital products in an agile manner and reduce our data center footprint,” said Srinivasan Sampath, First Abu Dhabi Bank Acting Group Chief Technology Officer.
Liaquat Parkar, MEA Managing Partner, IBM Consulting Added: “IBM Consulting is playing a key role in helping financial services companies modernize their products and migrate them to a hybrid cloud environment. As the financial services landscape in the UAE continues to evolve and digital transformation initiatives continue, banks are accelerating their digitization plans.
