However, that’s not what the bill is all about, as parents also have the right to take legal action (and subsequently receive compensation) against their child’s school district if they believe any school policy violates their “fundamental right to support and make decisions.” control their children. In addition, educators in Florida will be barred from discussing LGBTQ+ topics in the classroom that are deemed “inappropriate for a student’s age or development.”
