The Fountain Hills Community Foundation (FHCF) third annual “Flutter at the Fountain” has been reimagined to include a variety of new events designed to engage commercial sponsors, artists, residents, families and nonprofits.
On Tuesday, October 4, from 4-6 p.m., the Flutter Stroll on Fountain Avenue will begin, and residents are invited to stroll down the avenue to peek at the Flutter 22 butterflies. Attendees are encouraged to enjoy appetizers and beverages at various commercial locations along the Strip.
The Butterfly Feast at the Fountain Hills Artists Gallery will feature Butterfly Stones by artists of all abilities in the gallery on Tuesday, October 13 from 5-7pm.
The public is invited to take part in this activity by painting Butterfly Rock, including inspirational words or phrases, write FountanHillsGives.com and delivered to the gallery by Thursday, October 13th. After the reception, the rocks will be scattered around Fountain Hill for the public to enjoy.
The Flutter Reveal will take place on Saturday, October 15th from 10am to 5pm, where sponsors and artists will be showcasing their butterflies at Fountainside Plaza.
The public is invited to enter the People’s Choice Awards contest to vote for their favorite butterflies and caterpillars, with unlimited donations. The Hungry Caterpillar art project provided by the local Boys & Girls Club promotes people’s choice voting.
Flutter 22 Chrysalis Coupon Books will be available for purchase during the Flutter Reveal event. Each coupon book contains hundreds of dollars in retail discounts from local sponsors, including “day of” coupons for beverage and food discounts during Flutter Reveal.
To round out the event, the Flutter Gala Garden Party will be held at the Community Garden on Saturday, November 5th from 5:30pm to 9:30pm
Butterfly, magic, entertainment and live auctions by professional auctioneers will be scheduled at the Gala Garden Party. Participants can enjoy a meal at Debbie Elder and a variety of local restaurants while strolling the gardens.
Other Gala Garden Party events include Wine Pulls, Sami Fine Jewelry’s Bubbles and Butta Cakes & Bling competitions for a chance to win a traditional amethyst. Participants interested in taking home a Flutter butterfly or silent auction can bid online through the GiveSmart link throughout the evening.
