Dubai-based airline Flydubai has announced plans to start flights to Poznan, Poland from 29 October, becoming the first airline in the UAE to operate direct flights from Dubai to Poznan.
The launch of flydubai’s three weekly flights to Poznan expands the airline’s network in Poland to three destinations, including Krakow and the capital, Warsaw.
Flights to Poznan Airport (POZ) will operate from Terminal 2 of Dubai International Airport (DXB) on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. flydubai also operates a daily flight to Warsaw and a weekly flight to Krakow every five weeks, which will increase to daily from 26 June 2023.
Ghaith Al Ghaith, CEO of flydubai, said: “Since we started operating flights to Krakow in 2018, there has been a growing demand for travel between the UAE and Poland. Opening, our network expands to three points, which will give our passengers more options for traveling to Poland and open up more opportunities for trade and tourism. flydubai is committed to strengthening the links between different cultures and we look forward to to strengthen ties between the two countries.”
In 2022, the UAE and Poland strengthened their relationship through a joint economic plan to boost bilateral business and investment opportunities between the two countries, cooperating in areas such as renewable energy, advanced technology, agriculture, transport and tourism.
As one of the oldest cities in Poland, Poznań is known for its rich history and magnificent architecture, including the Renaissance Old Town. Located in the central west of the country, the city is today an important economic, trade and tourist center.
From 29 October 2023, flights between Dubai International Airport (DXB) Terminal 2 and Poznan Airport (POZ) will operate three times a week on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. – trade arab news agency
