flydubai restarts its operations in Hargeisa – Dubai Blog

Dubai-based airline flydubai announced today that it will start three flights a week to Hargeisa Egar International Airport (HGA) starting on August 10. This will increase the number of destinations operated by flydubai in Africa to 12 points in 9 countries, including Sohag International Airport (HMB) and Sharm el-Sheikh International Airport (SSH) that started earlier this summer .

Commenting on the relaunch of the route, Ghaith Al Ghaith, CEO of flydubai, said: “We are committed to providing direct flights to Dubai for underserved markets. We are very pleased to restart our business in Hargeisa. To provide Somali expats with a convenient option to visit their family and friends in their home country. Through the code-sharing agreement and interline agreement with Emirates, we can now reach more than 200 destinations through Dubai’s aviation hub.” Dubai Sudhir Sreedharan, Senior Vice President of Aviation Commercial Operations (UAE, Gulf Cooperation Council, Africa and Indian Subcontinent), said: “flydubai is committed to creating free flow of trade and tourism between the regions we fly to. We believe that we are reliable and convenient. Passenger and cargo services will help to open up trade opportunities between Hargeisa and Dubai and subsequent destinations. Flydubai will be the first airline to fly from Dubai to Hargeisa, Somaliland. The airline continues to explore underserved markets and expand its network in Africa. Flydubai also plans to restart its operations in Uganda in the coming weeks.

Flight details

From August 10, 2021, flights from Dubai International Airport (DXB) Terminal 2 to Hargeisa Egar International Airport (HGA) will operate every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.

The round-trip business class fare from DXB to HGA is AED 4,700, and the round-trip economy class fare is AED 1,600.
