As passenger traffic may reach its peak, this Abu Dhabi-based airline provides smooth and convenient travel tips:

>> Check destination requirements

Due to frequent changes in travel restrictions, Etihad Airways requires passengers to check the latest updates on its website before the journey begins.

>> Verify flight? Visit the “Manage My Booking” section of the website to share Covid-related travel documents.

Approvals will be shared via email to assure passengers that all necessary documents are in place. This will also speed up the airport check-in procedure at the “Verify Flight” counter.

>> Online check-in, arrive early

During peak hours, the economy class check-in service for non-US flights starts four hours before departure and closes one hour before departure. Check-in in Business Class and First Class is closed 45 minutes before departure. For U.S. flights, check-in is closed two hours before flight departure. Check-in procedures for all Etihad Airways flights closed 20 minutes before.

>> When you travel to the United States, benefit from the United States Customs and Border Protection (USCBP)

This means that all immigration and customs procedures will be completed in Abu Dhabi before the flight. Guests must arrive at the USCBP facility no later than 90 minutes before departure.

>> View flight time and departure terminal

In view of the significant increase in the number of passengers, Etihad Airways will re-arrange the check-in procedures for economy class passengers on the following flights to Terminal 1 on October 15th: EY653 to Cairo (CAI) EY2317 to Riyadh (RUH) )

>> Check the baggage allowance before leaving for the airport

The carry-on baggage allowance for economy class is 7 kg, and that for passengers in first and business class is 12 kg. The maximum size of carry-on luggage: 50cm (height), 25cm (depth), and 40cm (width). Or, pre-purchase additional checked baggage at a special price on the Etihad website or through its app before departure.
