On Wednesday, former Georgia District Attorney Jackie Johnson turned himself in for obstructing the Ahmad Arbery case.
According to CBS Channel 46, after the grand jury decided to prosecute her in the grand jury, Johnson surrendered “a public official last week on charges of obstruction and breach of oath.”
According to Atlanta Constitution Magazine, she was released from the Green County Detention Center after paying $10,000 in bail.
According to the state attorney, Johnson “Using her position to postpone the arrest of the white men who hunted down and killed the 25-year-old Arbery,” CBS 46 reported.
It wasn’t until Georgia’s Attorney General Chris Carr asked that the local prosecutor’s misconduct be investigated before he resolutely filed a prosecution.
There are several developments in the Abery case. One is that the defense cannot bring up his past.
As we reported earlier, a judge ruled that the defense attorney representing the three men accused of killing Ahmed Abery could not provide evidence related to the law in Ahmed’s past trials.
In May, it was reported that the alleged murderer pleaded with the judge to comment on Abery’s past history.
Roommates, what do you think?
