Four Seasons Abu Dhabi appoints 3 women to key positions

Four Seasons Hotel Abu Dhabi on Al Maryah Island announced the appointment of three accomplished women to leadership positions: Lara Haddad, Sales Director; Sandra Lakic, Spa Manager; and Caroline Pouzin, Front Office Manager.

All three are significant Four Seasons veterans – two returning to the company and one transferring from within the UAE.

“I am fortunate to be surrounded by such strong female colleagues,” said Olivier Thomas, general manager of the hotel and head of the Four Seasons Regional Spa. “We have more than 300 team members, nearly 30 percent of whom are women — 17 of them in key leadership roles.”

Olivier added: “Every woman on our team contributes in a way that goes far beyond their role. These women drive Four Seasons to be agents of change in Abu Dhabi, transforming perceptions and creating opportunities for more women To achieve professional achievement. I am proud that we have such an outstanding female talent and that I am able to work with such a diverse population.”

Lara Haddad, Sales Director
Born in Beirut, Lara studied in France and holds a Masters in Luxury Hospitality Management from the Nimwater Institute, and a Masters in International Tourism from the University of Perpignan. After her initial hotel roles in France, St. Barts and Dubai, Lara returned to her hometown and joined Four Seasons Hotel Beirut as Director of Food and Beverage Sales and earned EMEA Manager of the Year recognition. She went on to work in Food and Beverage Sales at Four Seasons Resort Dubai at Jumeirah Beach, and then as Assistant Director of Sales at Four Seasons Hotel Abu Dhabi, where she was responsible for sales across the business. After a recent episode with another hotel group in Kuwait, Lara is now back at Four Seasons Hotel Abu Dhabi as Official Sales Director.

“I love the role sales plays in supporting the entire organization from a revenue standpoint. At the same time, I love coaching our sales team and working with our clients, developing business strategies and helping with lodging and large sales events. I am proud to represent Four Seasons and maintain our leadership in the market,” she said.

Spa Manager Sandra Lakic
Originally from Croatia, Sandra studied at the University of Novi Sad, Serbia, with a Masters in Tourism and Hospitality Management. She started working in hotels in Belgrade and soon discovered her interest in spas and fitness. As Sandra explains, “I love helping people understand health and wellbeing, especially in a hotel setting where they can really focus on relaxation.”

She soon moved to the tourist capital of Dubai, specialising in spa management in major hotels. In 2018, she joined Four Seasons Resort Dubai at Jumeirah Beach as Assistant Director of The Pearl Spa and Wellness. During her tenure, the spa has won numerous international awards. “Four Seasons is a leader in the spa industry because it has such a serious commitment to the highest standards of service and luxury.” Sandra is now bringing her expertise to a management role at sister facility The Pearl Spa and Wellness Abu Dhabi .

“I love interacting with our guests and making sure their needs are anticipated. I want them to develop a personal relationship with The Pearl Spa and Wellness, so it’s not just a visit,” Sandra said.

She also values ​​the Four Seasons tradition of following the Golden Rule. “I encourage everyone to treat each other the way they want to be treated.”

Caroline Pouzin, Front Office Manager
Caroline’s hospitality history began in the eastern French city of Besançon, where she earned her first diploma in receptionist and room service. Inspired by the hospitality industry, she went on to earn a bachelor’s degree at the International School of Hotel Management at CMH in Paris. She started her career at a grand hotel in Paris and then worked as a housekeeping manager at the legendary Four Seasons Hotel George V in Paris. Caroline continued her studies at Ferrandi University in Paris, where she obtained a Master of Science in Hospitality Management. After graduating, Caroline moved to the UAE and worked in various hotels before her recent move.
