Four smart police stations to serve Expo 2020 visitors – Dubai Blog

The Dubai Police Headquarters and the Office of Expo 2020 Dubai recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to provide policing services to visitors to events around the world at four Smart Police Stations (SPS) 24/7 without human intervention.

Major General Ali Ahmed Abdullah Ghanem, Chief of the Al Muraqqabat Police Department, and Colonel Ali Khalifa Al Ghais, Chief Security Officer of Dubai Expo 2020, signed a memorandum of understanding in the presence of other senior officials and employees of both parties.

Major General Ghanim emphasized that the memorandum of understanding is in line with the Dubai Police’s desire to strengthen the partnership between the police force and the Expo 2020 office to serve visitors to the world’s greatest exhibition. He further emphasized the importance of cooperation and coordination to meet the needs and consultations of tourists through the latest and most innovative service channels.

“Smart Police Stations (SPS), three of which are’walk-in’ concepts, will provide important unmanned services. These include reporting crimes and traffic accidents and other community-based services. To ensure the highest level of community happiness, customers You can also apply for permits and certificates easily and conveniently without going to a traditional police station,” Major General Ghanem added.

At the same time, Colonel Al Ghais confirmed that the Dubai Police play an important role in ensuring the long-awaited activities of major economic, tourist and cultural importance. “Dubai Police provides comprehensive and continuous support and shares all police expertise to ensure an extraordinary experience for tourists,” he continued.

Intelligent and interactive technology supports this type of self-service station. SPS allows customers to successfully complete transactions without going to traditional police stations or waiting in line. SPS also enables officials who speak seven different languages ​​to effectively serve customers through video calls.

SPS responded to the instructions of wise leaders to make Dubai the smartest and most forward-looking city in the world.
