Fleetwood Town International Football Academy (FTIFA) is pleased to announce a partnership with JA Resorts and Hotels in Dubai.
From next season, the world-renowned brand will host all Fleetwood United and Fleetwood International Football Academy courses in the Dubai area – offering a new ‘Career Path’ programme as well as world-class facilities and accommodation .
JA Resorts & Hotels is a heritage brand in the UAE, born in 1981, with a widely recognised reputation for excellence in the management and operation of award-winning resorts and hotels. JA Resorts & Hotels takes its name from the original Jebel Ali (JA) Beach Hotel, which now consists of eight hotels. Unique hotels across the UAE and the Indian Ocean, each dedicated to curating unique experiences and creating unforgettable memories.
Our new and exciting professional road The scheme allows players to train, eat and live like full-time professional footballers – the best players are registered with our Emirates Football Association club, Fleetwood United.
With four and six-month courses to choose from, there’s a choice for everyone – including the chance to spend a month in training in England with the pros from Fleetwood Town on the EFL League side, and live the rest of the time In a luxurious 4 star hotel worldwide in paradise in Dubai.
The best players will also have the opportunity to play for our club, Fleetwood United, who play in Division 3 of the Emirates Football League and provide a pathway to our other partner clubs around the world.
Fleetwood Football Group is centred around Fleetwood Town FC (UK), a professional football club in the English First Division with a proven track record of sporting success and player development.
We also have a global network of football clubs, including Fleetwood United FC (the third tier of UAE football) and Western Cape Fleetwood (the third tier of South African football).
Our International Academy (FTIFA) operates in more than 20 countries around the world, providing players with a pathway to professional football and partnering with exceptional and proven elite football programs.
As a team, we have always believed in player development and young players. Our UK-based Fleetwood Town Football Club has a proven pathway to developing young talent through our Premier League-backed academy programme. In the past two years alone, we have seen 15 players enter our first team, three of which have been sold to the Premier League in the past year.
FTIFA professional road Divided into two start dates and options:
Structural UK/UAE 6 Month Plan – (October to March 2022)
- A four-week pre-season run at Poolfoot Farm, a £10 million training ground in Fleetwood, England, begins on Monday 3 October and ends on Friday 28 October. Players will have the opportunity to work with our professional coaching staff and junior professionals.
- Fly to Dubai (included in price) Players will arrive in Dubai to stay at our partner accommodation (Saturday 29 October to Sunday 30 October).
- The five-month full-time training and game mode began with our sister club Fleetwood United in Dubai. The evaluation period will continue (November-December) and players will work towards being selected for the Fleetwood United first team in January 2023.
- Players will be registered with Fleetwood United in the club’s Under-23 or senior first team. (January to March).
- Pathways to professional football with Fleetwood United Group/Partner Club or employment/internship in the football industry (from April).
UAE Only Structure – 4 Month Plan – (Dec-March 2022/23)
- Players will arrive in Dubai to stay at our partner accommodation (Tuesday 29th November to Wednesday 30th November).
- The four-month full-time training and game mode begins with our sister club Fleetwood United in Dubai. The evaluation period will continue (November-December) and players will work towards being selected for the Fleetwood United first team in January 2023.
- Players will be registered with Fleetwood United in the club’s Under-23 or senior first team. (January to March).
- Pathways to employment/internships at Fleetwood United Group/Partner Club or in the football industry (from April).
