Novoselburg, Alabama (WTVY) – One of the largest celebrations in the Wiregrass area is gearing up Friday as Novoselburg announced full details and entertainment for the 2023 Freedom Festival on Friday.
This year’s festival will be held on Friday, June 30 from 4:00pm to 9:00pm at the festival grounds in Novoselburg as part of the American Independence celebrations and Novoselburg is looking to build on last year’s hugely successful event More than 12,000 patrons enjoyed food, entertainment and fireworks at the Post.
This year’s entertainment lineup is led by hip-hop/pop-rap duo Tag Team, featuring their ’90s hit “Whoomp! (It’s There).” The opening act will be Sleepy Head, followed by The Rock Mob, who will play the best hits and rock hits of the 70s, 80s, and Hunter Clark, with his Southern rock hits before Tag Team wraps up the night and leads the show. Take the stage to enter the fireworks display.
Among the family fun and vendors at the festival are a bounce house, an obstacle course, free ice cream, a military static display and several craft vendors. There will also be multiple food vendors and food trucks on site offering a variety of festive and traditional festive food and refreshment options.
Live entertainment will continue until the festival kicks off at 4:00 p.m. and the fireworks display will begin promptly at 9:00 p.m.

Note to those wishing to obtain or qualify for a pass, you must have a REAL ID compliant ID/”Gold Star” on your current driver’s license. If you do not have a “Gold Star” driver’s license, you may need other forms of identification.
