‘Garfield’ Joins Ving Rhames, Nicholas Hoult, Hannah Waddingham, Cecily Strong – Deadline

Ving Rhames (Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part 1), Nicholas Holt (menu), Hannah Wadingham (Ted Russo) and Cecily Strong (saturday night live) signed to star with Chris Pratt and Samuel L. Jackson Alcon EntertainmentAnimated feature film adaptation of Garfield.

Films directed by Mark Tyndall (chick, The Emperor’s New Slot) based on Jim Davis’ iconic cartoon of the same name, about a cynical, lazy orange cat of the same name and his relationship with owner Jon Arbuckle and his pet Audi ( Odie) interaction. Details about the role the newly added actor will play have not been disclosed.

But David Reynolds (Finding Nemo) adapted the script, and DNEG Animation worked with Alcon Entertainment to animate and produce the film. John Cohen (despicable Me, angry Birds) and Steven P. Wegner with Alcon co-founders and co-CEOs Broderick Johnson and Andrew Kosove, and DNEG CEO Namit Malhotra and president Tom Jacomb, Davis, Bridget McMeel of Andrews McMeel Entertainment and Craig Sost High Tube making. Sony Pictures will release the film globally on February 16, 2024, in all major territories except China.

Rhames is an Emmy nominee for his role in pulp Fiction and Mission impossible The next franchises to appear in movies, including Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part 1 and thrillers locksmithalso voiced Henry Selick’s Netflix animated feature, wendell and wild.

Holt recently earned his first Emmy nomination for his performance on Hulu. the best and will be the next star of searchlight menu Alongside Anya Taylor-Joy and Ralph Fiennes, and at Universal Runfield Fight alongside Nicolas Cage and Awkwafina.

Waddingham is an Emmy winner and 2022 nominee, best known for her role as Rebecca Welton on the Apple TV+ hit series, Ted Russo. Other notable credits include HBO game of Thrones and Netflix sex education.

Strong has been on the cast signal to noise ratio Over the past 10 years, she has been nominated for two Emmys for her long-running sketch series. Additional credits include Apple TV+ SchmidtSony’s ghostbusters and global boss.
