GCC residents are not allowed to enter the UAE under 4 circumstances

The Federal Department of Identity, Nationality, Customs and Port Security identified four cases of residents of GCC countries entering the UAE with e-visas or entry permits for residents of GCC countries.

The authorities confirmed that residents of any GCC country must obtain an e-Visa prior to travel to enter the UAE, as the visa allows them to stay in the country for 30 days from the date of entry and can be extended once for a period of 30 days.

The Digital Government also clarified that e-visa holders will not be able to enter the UAE if their residency expires or is cancelled, or if they change occupation after the entry permit is issued.

The authorities pointed out that the validity period of the GCC country’s residence must be more than 3 months after arriving at the UAE port, and the passport of the entry permit holder must also be valid for more than 3 months.
Obtaining an e-visa for foreigners residing in any other GCC country is a prerequisite for entering the UAE, according to the authorities.

Entry permits for GCC residents are applied through the Directorate General of Foreign Affairs in Dubai and the Federal Department of Identity and Nationality, Customs and Port Security.

If approved, the e-visa will be sent to the email address registered in the application after processing is complete, the authority said, noting that no visit visa application for family members or assisted groups of residents or companion GCC citizens traveling without a sponsor will be approved. .
