Geneva Chamber of Commerce Announces Sweden Day Entertainment Lineup – Shaw Local

A wide variety of musicians, bands and local entertainers will take the stage at this summer’s Geneva Chamber’s 73rd annual Sweden Days Festival.

According to a press release from the chamber, the event will be held in central Geneva from June 21 to 15 and will feature performances by local and regional bands as well as local organisations.

“Bringing a mix of genres and styles to the festival is always a top priority. The entertainment that kicked off Wednesday with a show in the Parc de Genève and the semi-finals of Geneva’s Got Talent enabled the Geneva Chamber of Commerce to present every evening from Thursday to Saturday Bringing new ‘hot’ bands to center stage. We hope audiences enjoy returning favorites and new additions,” said Laura Rush, Director of Communications, Geneva Chamber of Commerce.

Entertainment kicks off Wednesday at 4:30pm on Center Stage with a traditional Swedish music gallery. At 5.30pm, enjoy live performances by Angels Cheer & Poms Team, Geneva Gymnastics Academy, Playhouse 38 Youth Performers and Sunset Dance Academy, Geneva Parks. It was followed by the semi-finalists from the performances of “Geneva’s Got Talent”.

“Geneva’s Got Talent” finalists will take to the stage at 5pm on Thursday, followed by the Sushi Roll band with high-energy dance and rock music at 7pm

On Friday night, funk band No Turn on Red will kick off at 5pm, followed by the Blooze Brothers at 7pm. The Blooze Brothers are a 12-piece performance band that covers Motown, R&B, soul and current hits, according to a press release.

Chicago cover band Student Body will take center stage Saturday at 5pm. The group will bring rock songs that have been popular for decades.

Musicians Gregory Hyde, Cole Brandt, Matt Keen and Danny & Katie O’Brien will perform in the craft beer tent during lunch.

During the day, all evening concerts take place at Center Stage and at the Craft Beer Tent on James Street.

The festival schedule can be found at www.genevachamber.com In mid-May, it will take place from 21 to 25 June in the Conference Hall Information Tent on the Lawn of the Court.
