Group explores framework for launching genetic screening services with Middle East partners

In addition to Genomics Malaysia, SCA also involves the American Spine Center (ASC), a spinal injury and spinal pathology specialist based in Dubai, UAE; BALSAM Health Services, a healthcare provider based in Dubai, UAE; Wellness by Design FZ LLC is a nutrition, obesity and weight loss specialist based in Dubai, UAE and IAC International LLC based in Sharjah, UAE.
Under the SCA, Malaysian Genomics, ASC, Balsam and Wellness by Design will explore common strategies for joint or joint projects that translate into innovative medical tools or solutions, while the role of the IAC is to support activities in priority areas, coordinating parties and working as appropriate Collaborate with other organizations. IAC will also be the point of contact between Malaysia Genomics and ASC, Balsam and Wellness by Design.
Noor Azri bin Dato’ Sri Noor Azerai, Executive Director of Genomics Malaysia, said: “The SCA will allow us to formally explore how the parties can work together, including technical trials and evaluation of our Dtect screening test commercialized in the UAE. The role of Genomics Malaysia will be based on SCA provides technical and scientific support.
