The stakes are high George Bustamante Enter survivorThe 36-year-old was forced to quit his job to take part in the show, so he’s aiming to go home with his highest salary to date. He hopes he does this by giving back to a show that shows him that your insecurities can make you shine, even if they’ll be at the forefront of the beach.

First, please introduce yourself to us.
My name is Gio Bustamante. I’m 25 – wait, do I have to say my real age? (laugh.) I am 35 years old. I am an account manager for a telecommunications company.um, I used to be Account Manager for a telecommunications company. Unfortunately, I had to quit my job to come here because I didn’t have enough time off. (laugh.) I was born in Peru and I am a military spouse. So I am a gay Latino immigrant. I’m here to play, to give everything I have, to leave everything on the court to win. I have no choice now. (laugh.)
why are you here survivor?
Honestly, if someone told me ten years ago, “Hey, you should go and apply survivor“I’d say, ‘No, you’re crazy! “Because I was so shy back then. I had so many insecurities. But now, especially after the pandemic, I’ve learned a lot. I learned today that you have to do what you have to do now. Life Do whatever makes you happy.I decided to try and apply survivor Therefore. So I am still nervous from time to time. But I’m getting over all my insecurities here.
what history do you have survivor?
so i watched every episode survivor. I analyzed the whole game. I really learned a lot. It made me who I am today. I grew up with all these insecurities. As gay, Latino, with an accent, you grow up thinking the world sees you a certain way or that people will laugh at you for speaking a certain way. survivor A place where you can be who you want to be, who you are, who you really are. You can still shine, you can still win, you can still be the little guy and shine like the strongest man on the show.So that’s why I love survivor. It’s like life, but in one show, condensed into a little battle, a great game.
give me one survivor A winner and a non-winner you most identify with.
So I am a small person. I’m only 5 feet 7 inches. I think Cochrane would be one of them. Because at the beginning of the show, he wasn’t the strongest guy. But he is smart. And I think I’m very strategic because I have a lot of street smarts. That would be one of them. I can also identify with Boston Rob. Because he’s very strategic; he’s very brutal. I don’t think I’m as cruel as him. But I’m also very strategic. I’ve been thinking, analyzing, and planning my next move in the real world.
I have to say Sandra because I love Sandra. Many people don’t like her. But I like her directness. She is a very strong woman. She’s the type of person who knows she might not be good at a challenge. But she’s there and she’ll let you know, “I’m here to win.” She’s the queen, and she’s still the queen!
what is your favorite moment survivor history?
I think my favorite moment was Erik’s blindness when he ended up being knocked out on the spot when he gave away the Immunity Necklace. That was one of my favorite moments because I love blind people. I like things that affect the game and make people want to say, “Wow, I want to see the next episode.” So I want to do the same. Hope not to be as stupid as he is. But something crazy and nice won me over.
